Notes

Located in the Official Tapers Section left of soundboard on playing field. Used windscreens and umbrella to accommodate the weather conditions.
Ran AKG 391's (ORTF) at 9 ft height fed MixPre-D AES > PMD661 S/PDIF via Graham-Patten DATS Model 10 transformer.
This show was a little distinct for Furthur, you'll enjoy some different material presented here.
Periodic fireworks behind the stage were from Coney Island during the second set.
Tracked out to fit on three audio CD's as indicated, discs join smoothly.

Subject: Jeff Teases Miles Davis "Milestones" in Darkstar Jam
Not sure who caught it but at 7 minutes and 15 seconds into Darkstar, Jeff plays several bars of "Milestones" by Miles Davis... that pretty much made the show for me...love to hear the jazz and wish the band could go there more often!

Subject: Water bright as the sky from which it came
Thanks DigiGal for sharing this excellent recording of one of the best shows of summer 2012. First set is spirited and tight. Kudos to Weir for remembering the lyrics to Ballad of a Thin Man! Scarlet > Fire is so hot you really can't fake. Tiny little Lost Sailor tease before a huge helping of WRS > Let It Grow. Fun to hear the fireworks exploding in the middle of the post-Dark Star spacey jam. "Death" is nicely done, though it starts out a bit too fast for my entirely personal taste. Ripple is delightful, with JK lending a 1970/NRPS feel to it. Let there be songs to fill the air!
